El Jefe is Back in The House

Tuesday morning at 7:30 AM I awoke in Guayaquil, Ecuador and began my journey home. At 11:15PM Tuesday I was in the drive-thru line of the In-N-Out Burger in Livermore waiting for my "animal style", fries and Dr Pepper, and thinking "Dang...!"

(That's an iguana.)

Just what I was doing down in the Galapagos Islands is way beyond the scope of this blog, but suffice to say it involved an amateur ("ham") radio competition at what is arguably the best station in the world.

(Ramon XE1KK from Mexico City was part of the team.)

I asked Fermento, if he could make wine from any vineyard in the world (I mean, other than ours), which would it be? He said, "J.L. Chave's home vineyard on the top o' the hill at Hermitage...hands down!!" Well, this place and station is like that!

Of course, we may be geeks, but we do know how to party!

Help out a fellow techno-nerd who's down on his buzz-words: What's a "TrackBack"?

Kudos on finally explaining what Monty Python is all about... and in press, too!

A trackback is just an easy way of letting another blog know that it has been quoted by your blog, or vice versa. This Wikipedia topic explains it all: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trackback

Gotta run to the vet now - my new parrot refuses to eat for some reason... - j

Try 10,000 volts. It'll be fun at least for someone.
